Computer Engineering Technology Certificate |
The Computer Engineering Technology (CET) Certificate is meant to
prepare students for employment in the areas of computer upgrade and
repair, including hardware and software installation. The CET
certificate can satisfy the needs of beginners interested in a new
career, as well as industry professionals who wish to enhance their
skills. It offers an opportunity for students who are still undecided
as far as which degree program to enroll in to “try out” the program.
The CET certificate covers all the topics of the CompTIA A+ certification exam,
including computer basics, single and multi-user operating systems,
networking basics, and computer upgrade and repair. Upon successful
completion of the six classes that constitute the CET certificate,
students will be prepared to take the industry recognized CompTIA A+
certification. The exam consists of a hardware component and a combined
software and operating systems component. Students may make
arrangements to take these tests in the Sylvan testing center located
on our campus.
All the courses in this certificate count towards the Computer Engineering Technology AAS degree.
The courses in this certificate are available day and evening. Check the semester schedule for class days and times.
