Technological change and entrepreneurship are at the heart of regional and national economic growth. Local economic officials estimate that 70 percent of new jobs in the next decade will be created by entrepreneurial start-ups.
The Department of Management and Business Technologies at Sandhills Community College is adopting the National Standards for Entrepreneurship Education and joining the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. -

The Department of Management and Business Technologies offers a variety of one- and two-year programs for quick entry into the job market. Each of these programs will provide you with the opportunity to contribute your skills and talents to the economic development of your community:

- E-Commerce

- Health Information Technology
- Medical Office Administration
- Office Systems Technology
If you plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree, Sandhills also offers two transfer options to any of the sixteen universities in the University of North Carolina System:
The Department of Management and Business Technologies also has articulation arrangements with UNC Pembroke and St. Andrews Presbyterian
College. Students can earn the Associate in Applied Science in Business
Administration at Sandhills and then continue to earn the BSBA and MBA on the

Sandhills Community College and Pitt Community College have a collaborative agreement that will allow students in the Sandhills area to take classes at Sandhills and online at Pitt to graduate with a degree in Health Information Technology.
