 The Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration curriculum introduces students to the main aspects of the free enterprise system. Students are provided key fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and organizations in today's dynamic global economy.
The Department of Management and Business Technologies at Sandhills Community College is also adopting the National Standards for Entrepreneurship Education and joining the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education.
Course work includes the primary business concept areas of accounting, business law, economics, management, and marketing. These classes are designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles that drive business operations. The program includes courses in business finance, entrepreneurship, small business management, integrated management, and e-commerce.
The Department of Management and Business Technologies offers the Business Administration degree as a day program and as a hybrid / online program. Hybrid courses are a combination of classroom and distance learning and both online and hybrid courses are delivered via Blackboard.

The Department of Management and Business Technologies has articulation agreements with UNC Pembroke and St. Andrews Presbyterian College. Students can earn the Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration at Sandhills and then continue to earn the BSBA and MBA on the Sandhills campus from UNC Pembroke at SCC, the BSBA from St. Andrews at SCC or a BSBA from UNC Greensboro.

Upon successful completion of the Business Administration
curriculum, students will have a sound base for lifelong learning as
recommended by the Department of Labor. Graduates are prepared for
employment opportunities in government agencies, financial
institutions, large to small businesses or industry, and
entrepreneurial ventures.
