Alex brings over 35 years automotive experience to Sandhills. He is a graduate of Sandhills, as well as Western Carolina University and N.C. State University. He is an ASE Master and holds an L1 Certification. His interests include keeping up with new automotive technologies, high performance vehicles and older muscle cars.

Dan is a former Ford dealership technician, where he was an engine performance, electrical and front end specialist. He holds an AAS in automotive systems technology and a BS in mechanical engineering. In his free time, he competes in triathlons and serves as Sandhills’ advisor to the triathlon and multisport team.

Having owned his own automotive business, as well as worked for independent auto repairers, Jimmy has amassed a wealth of knowledge gained from over 35 years experience in the automotive field. He enjoys staying current with technological changes in automotives, as well as the invaluable training opportunities he has benefited from while teaching at Sandhills. Jimmy says he gets extreme pride and satisfaction from teaching and watching his students master a task.
