This 17-week course is designed to prepare students to draw blood specimens from patients for the purpose of medical tests and blood donations.

Training includes venipuncture and communications skills as well as recordkeeping and the safe care of specimens. |

Completion of this course allows the student to take the national exam for certification. Textbook, uniform, supply fee and insurance required. |

Class size is limited. Candidate will be selected through a reading placement test. This test is required for admittance into the course. The test is free with no pre-registration required. |

Tests take place in Van Dusen 103. Be early - doors will be locked once testing begins!
Main Campus:
Dates: mid-August to mid-December
Time: Class meets on T/Th evenings
Cost: $65 tuition + $20.50 Malpractice and Health insurance + cost of text book+ $5 tech fee.
Hoke Campus:
Dates: mid-August to mid-December
Time: Class meets on M/W evenings.
Location: Hoke Center in Raeford
