Prerequisite: Must be currently listed as a NA I with the State of North Carolina, HS Diploma or GED, and admission to NA II Program.
This course provides training in selected advanced nursing assistant procedures. Emphasis is placed on sterile techniques, repiratory procedures, catheterizations, wound and trach care, irrigations, and ostomy care. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills necessary to qualify as a Nurse Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
This is a certificate-level course. You must have before you register:
- Six months full-time employment as a NAI or comparable work experience,
- Submitted an Application,
- Placement Test qualified,
- Interviewed with Program Coordinator,
- Medical Form,
- Social Security card, and
- Picture I.D.
