You will explore careers available in the medical field, the skills needed to obtain these positions and future market projections.  You will be introduced to basic medical terminology and gain valuable experience using Medisoft software.

Employability Skills Lab                   
You will receive individualized help in finding, applying for, getting and keeping the job that is right for you.  Designed as a lab, you can fit attendance in this class to your schedule and get one-on-one assistance with job-seeking skills.

You will learn the skills needed to best manage your financial resources.

Computer Skills for the Workplace (CSFW): Learning Windows & the Internet
You will learn the basics of Microsoft Windows. You will also learn to navigate Windows and the Internet, perform Internet job searches and use email.

Computer Skills for the Workplace (CSFW): Office Applications  
You will learn to be productive in the workplace using word processing and spreadsheet software.

Computer Skills for the Workplace (CSFW): Keyboarding                       
You will learn to be proficient and accurate on the computer keyboard. This class is designed for true beginners or those wanting to improve their speed and technique.

If you are contemplating or are currently involved in a transition in your work or career, come join us. You can use this class as an opportunity to reassess your interests and skills.  You will gain new insights into the kind of work that suits you best.  Career interests, skills and abilities assessments will be used in your exploration.

NEW!  Resume Writing Workshop
You will create/update your resume so that it “sells” your skills and experience.  You will explore strategies to maximize your exposure to potential employers and target specific jobs.  You will leave the workshop with a completed resume and cover letter.

NEW!  Budget Workshop: Making Your Paycheck Last
You will explore various budget strategies to maximize income expenditures.  Helpful resources will be presented so you can understand budget principles, such as “wants” vs. “needs”, safety nets, etc.  You will develop your own budget.
