An EMT-Basic class is offered on campus at night each fall and spring semester. Pre-registration is not required, you may register the first night of class. Class usually starts the first night of the semester at 6:30pm Causey building room 166.

Recertification through Sandhills Community College & Moore County EMS

After a lot of effort, the college and the county have decided to work together to ensure an effective procedure for recertification. The first Consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of each month on the campus of Sandhills Community College, Causey Building room 165 from 3pm-9pm, we will hold scope of practice examinations and review paperwork of hours needed to recertify. We ask that you try to come within 3 months of when your certification expires. Please call to set up an appointment time between 3pm-9pm and to request your transcripts. When you arrive on campus we will go over your continuing education record and make sure you have enough hours, and if not, you will have until your expiration date to complete it. We will fill out the paperwork that needs to be sent off to the state, and will complete your scope of practice testing. By completing this process 3 months in advance of expiration we should make sure you will have completed everything needed to recertify well in advance of your expiration date.
