Adult High School

Sandhills Community College’s Adult High School (AHS) classes are offered at the Sandhills Hoke Center and on main campus. AHS provides academic courses to students working toward completing their high school diploma.

Classes are offered in a lab setting and provide course work in English, mathematics, social studies, science, and electives. Students are placed in courses based on previous high school transcripts and assessment scores.

There are no tuition fees; however, students will be required to purchase personal supplies.

Transcripts / Score Reports

Required Forms

An official sealed transcript from the last high school attended is required in order to be considered for this program.

Minors 16 or 17 years of age must submit additional forms and have an interview before acceptance into the program.

Graduation Requirements

22 high school units for ages 18 and older
28 high school units for ages 16 -17 for Hoke County students
28 high school units for ages 16-17 for Moore County students

Required Courses

English 4 Credits (English I, II, III & IV)
Mathematics 4 Credits (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and advanced math, Integrated Mathematics I, II, III & IV)
Social Studies 4 Credits (Civics and Economics, World History, American History I&II)
Science 3 Credits (Physical Science course, Biology, Earth/Environmental Science)
Health/Physical Education 1 Credits (Health/Physical Education)
Electives 6 Elective Credits (12 Elective Credits for students under 18)
Total Credits 22 Credits (28 Credits for Hoke County students under 18. 28 credits for Moore County students under 18)
