As a member of the SCC Alumni Association, I want to personally invite you to the Annual Meeting of our Association. It's an important meeting as we will be electing officers and new Board members for the Association (see information below). We will also update you on past, present and future activities for the Association and let you know other exciting things going on at Sandhills.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm and will be held in the Ball Visitors Center (near the college gardens). I hope you will make an effort to attend. It would be helpful to us if you could RSVP to myself (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jennifer Blakely, (email@example.com).
As a reminder, if you haven't purchased your brick for the Graduate Walk and would like to get in on the first phase, please let us know as soon as possible. We will be placing our first order of engraved bricks soon. Demolition of the old walkway has already begun, and we're extremely excited about this project! Bricks are $100.00 and will include your name, degree received and date of graduation.
Take care, and we look forward to sharing Halloween with you!!

The Nomination Committee nominates the following individuals to fill three vacant seats on the Alumni Board of Directors:
Samuel is a recent graduate of Sandhills. He is the Operations Supervisor for the Food Bank in Southern Pines, NC. His current position makes him an excellent candidate because of the potential outreach possibilities for the Association. Samuel is a high energy person, and has an eager willingness to serve others.
A graduate of Sandhills Community College in Radiography. Pat is currently the Program Coordinator/Associate Professor in Radiography at Sandhills.
Quote from original nominator:
"Pat is very passionate about the way students are treated while they are here and about their learning experiences on campus. Pat’s daughter has recently been hired by our math department as well. Pat has a true love for the college, her colleagues and her students. I think she personifies the “never die” attitude we are looking for."
Jonathan is a 2002 graduate of Sandhills in Internet Technologies. He has worked in various technology positions throughout Moore County, and currently works as Sandhills Community College's System Administrator. He has a BS from East Carolina University. Jonathan has excellent technical skills, and would be a great asset to the Board.
