Placement Testing Procedure

Apply to Sandhills Community College

 

Required Items

Please bring the following to the college when you are ready to test:

• Pink Placement Testing Ticket that you received with your acceptance letter.
• A photo ID
• Administrative fee of $7.00 (if you come to the Pinehurst campus during the hours the Business Office is open, you will pay the administrative fee there. If you come to test at other times, you will pay in the Learning Resource Center located in Boyd Library)

 

Results

You will discuss your placement test results with a pre-advisor immediately after testing. Staff are available to interpret scores 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Thursday.Test results cannot be given by telephone.

 

Transferred Scores

Please have test scores from other schools sent to Sandhills Community College, c/o Cassidy Benjamin , 3395 Airport Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374. The scores must come directly from the college that administered the test.

 

Retesting

Contact Cassidy Benjamin at 910.246.5366, benjaminc@sandhills.edu for any retesting.

 

Transfer Scores to Another School

Official placement test scores can be transferred to another institution. A written request is required. There is no fee for transferring placement test scores. Simply complete the Placement Test Score Transfer form and fax or mail it to the Testing Office.
