Scholarships
Because of the generosity of private donors, Sandhills Community College is able to award over $350,000 in Scholarships each academic year. These are merit and need-based scholarships.
Our scholarships are awarded each spring and go toward the cost of tuition for the following academic year.
Scholarships are administered through the Financial Aid Office. A scholarship committee, appointed by President Dr. John Dempsey, selects the scholarship recipients. You will be notified by mail if you are chosen to receive an award.

Scholarship Process
If you have not already done so, complete the Admissions Application (new students only) for admission into Sandhills Community College.
- Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Complete and submit the Sandhills Community College Scholarship Application for the 2012 - 2013 academic year.
- Current high school students must submit a high school transcript from their high school to the Financial Aid Office.
- Forward a Scholarship Recommendation Form (pdf) to two faculty or staff members for completion (You must forward these. They will not be sent by the Financial Aid Office).
DO NOT apply for scholarships if an outside third party will be billed directly for your tuition.
