Scholarships are funded by private donors through the Sandhills Community College Foundation Office and are administered through the Financial Aid Office.   Scholarships are awarded in the spring for the following school year. 

By completing the Scholarship Application, you will be considered for all Sandhills Community College Scholarships.

Scholarship process

  1. Complete the Sandhills Community College Admissions Application.  After you complete the Admissions Application, you will be mailed an acceptance letter with detailed information on how to set up your username and password.  Your username and password will be required to begin and complete the scholarship application

    (If you are a returning student, your username and password are the same as your WebAdvisor and student email login.)

  2. Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Complete and submit the Sandhills Community College Scholarship Application for the 2015- 2016 academic year (coming 2nd week of february). Current high school students must submit a high school transcript from their high school to the Financial Aid Office.
  4. Recommendation forms for  the 2015-2016 scholarship application will be submitted electronically.  The steps to on how to submit the recommendation forms are detailed within the scholarship application itself.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship Committee appointed by
Dr. Dempsey, President of Sandhills Community College.  The recipients will be notified by mail.
