Scholarships are funded by private donors through the Sandhills Community College Foundation Office and are administered through the Financial Aid Office.   Scholarships are awarded in the spring for the following school year. 

By completing the Scholarship Application, you will be considered for all Sandhills Community College Scholarships. 

Important Tips to Answering Questions on the Scholarship Application  

Scholarship process

  1. Complete the Sandhills Community College Admissions Application.  After you complete the Admissions Application, you will be mailed an acceptance letter with detailed information on how to set up your username and password. Your username and password will be required to begin and complete the scholarship application. If you are a high school senior applying for scholarships, please submit the most recent copy of your high school transcripts to our office.

    (If you are a returning student, your username and password are the same as your WebAdvisor and student email login.)

  2. The FAFSA is a requirement to be considered for all scholarships. Please visit to complete your FAFSA application.

  4. Recommendation forms for the 2017-2018 scholarship application will be submitted electronically. The steps to on how to submit the recommendation forms are detailed within the scholarship application itself.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship Committee appointed by Dr. Dempsey, President of Sandhills Community College. The recipients will be notified by email if they are awarded a scholarship.
