Visiting Students

A visiting student is a student who is pursuing a degree at another institution but who is taking courses at Sandhills Community College with the intent of transferring credit for those courses to the home institution. A visiting student will be classified as a special student and may register for courses only if course prerequisites are met and if space exists in the classes. A current SCC student’s registration may take precedence over a visiting student’s registration. A visiting student must submit an application and is encouraged to obtain written permission of the institution from which graduation is planned.
